Political Intelligence

This happened sometime back so pardon the late "arise" ...

While visiting India, George Bush is invited to tea with Abdul Kalam.

He asks Kalam what his leadership philosophy is.

Kalam says that, it is to surround himself with intelligent people.

Bush asks how he knows if they're intelligent.

"I do so by asking them the right questions," says Kalam. "Allow me to demonstrate."

Bush watches as Kalam phones Manmohan Singh and says, "Mr. Prime Minister, please answer this question:

Your mother has a child, and your father has a child, and this child is not your brother or sister. Who is it?"

Manmohan immediately responds, "It's me, Sir !"

"Correct. Thank you and good-bye" says Kalam. He hangs up and says," Did you get that, Mr. Bush?"

Bush nods: "Yes Mr. President. Thanks a lot.

I'll definitely be using that!"

Bush, upon returning to Washington, decides he'd better put Condoleezza Rice to the test. Bush summons her to the White House and says, "Condoleezza, I wonder if you can answer a question for me."

"Why, of course, sir. What's on your mind?"

Bush poses the question: "Uhh, your mother has a child, and your father has a child, and this child is not your brother or your sister. Who is it?"

Rice was puzzled and finally asks, "Can I think about it and get back to you?" Bush agrees, and Rice leaves.

Rice immediately calls a meeting of senior senators, and they puzzle over the question for several hours,
but nobody can com e up with an answer.. Finally, in desperation, Rice calls Colin Powell and explains the problem.

"Mr. Powell, your mother has a child, and your father has a child, and this child is not your brother or your sister. Who is it?"

Powell answers immediately, "It's me, of course."

Much relieved, Rice rushes back to the White House, finds George Bush, and exclaims,

"I know the answer, sir! I know who it is!
It's our Colin Powell!"

And Bush replies in disgust, "Wrong, it's Manmohan Singh!"

The Obama Fan

A teacher in a small Illinois town asks her class how many of them are Barack Obama fans. Not really knowing what a Barack Obama fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raise their hands except one boy.

The teacher asks Johnny why he has decided to be different.

Johnny says, "I'm not a Barack Obama fan."

The teacher says, "Why aren't you a Barack Obama fan?"

Johnny says, "I'm a George Bush fan."

The teacher asks why he is a George Bush fan.

The boy says, "Well, my mom's a George Bush fan and my dad's a George Bush fan, so I'm a George Bush fan!"

The teacher is kind of angry, because this is Illinois, so she asks, "What if your mom was a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would that make you?"

Johnny says, "That would make me a Barack Obama fan."

The Kindergarten Lecture

Attorney General Ashcroft was visiting an elementary school.

After the usual introductions were over, he told the boys and girls to ask him questions, if they had any

As usual, there was this smart little boy named Tommy who raised his hand and said that he had three questions to ask him.

First, how did George Bush win the election with fewer votes than Gore?
Second, why are you using the USA Patriot Act to limit Americans' civil liberties?
And third, why hasn't the U.S. caught Osama Bin Laden yet?"

Just then the bell sounded and all the kids ran out to the playground.

After lunch the kids were back in class and Attorney General Ashcroft apologized for the interruption and requested the boys and girls to continue with their questions

A little girl then raised her hand and requested whether Mr. Ashcroft could answer her five queries;

First, how did Bush win the election with fewer votes than Gore ?

Second, why are you using the USA Patriot Act to limit Americans' civil liberties ?

Third, why hasn't the U.S. caught Osama Bin Laden yet ?

Fourth, why did the bell go off 20 minutes early ?

And fifth, where's Tommy ?
